steps

  1. Dice onions and garlic.
  2. In a large pan, saute onions and garlic in olive oil at med-high heat until slightly browned.
  3. Add ground beef into the pan and cook until browned.
  4. Add tomato sauce into the pan and simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350F.
  6. In the small mixing bowl, combine egg, ricotta, parmesean, mozzerella, salt, pepper, and spices.
  7. Wash and dry spinach well. Squeeze out as much water as possible.
  8. Initial layering (do twice):
    • Sauce
    • Pasta
    • Cheese
    • Spinach
  9. Top layer:
    • Pasta
    • Sauce
    • Mozzerella cheese
  10. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  11. Take off the foil and broil for 15 more minutes to brown the cheese.
